ON THE BACK

When winter snows blanket the ground and the frozen pond resembles a crystal plater, the colors outside my window turn pale and muted like the winter wind which sings a mournful song. Before this cold can blanket my mood the cardinals fill the garden with their bright plumage and delightful arias liftin my spirits till spring can bloom again.
