Village Glendi
Summers in Greece are celebrated outdoors. Greeks leave their homes when the first rays of the sun beak through the cloak of night.
Breakfast on the veranda, lunch by the sea, dinner in the lively tavernas that are bursting with the scent of the Mediterranean’s fresh food from gardens, fields and sea. Wine flows, laughter and music fill the night.
In Greece even the village animals know how to party. OPA!

Greeks know how to party and find any excuse for a celebration. Holy days, weddings, baptisms are village wide events. On summer nights one will find the entire village gathering on the platia where good food and music mix with the cool sea or mountain air and the laughter of families. Somewhere at the edge of the village, the animals throw their own glendi to celebrate life. OPA!
